All official and personal incoming mail is distributed every weekday as soon as possible after arrival. Frequent users can obtain a mail distribution box of their own, located in the entrance hall. Outgoing mail can be left at the reception desk at any time during working hours or when the range is in operation.
Delivery time by airmail:
US - Esrange is 5-10 days,
N. Europe - Esrange is 3-4 days,
Stockholm - Esrange is 1-2 days.
E-mail
Every Esrange staff member can be reached over internet on a standardised address: firstname.familyname@esrange.ssc.se.
Telefax
The Esrange telefax number is + 46 980 128 90. Telefax messages can be sent by the operators when the front desk is open. Another telefax, + 46 980 721 50 located near the Operation Centre, is always available to range Users.
Telephone
The Esrange telephone number is +46 980 720 00. An operator is on duty during normal working days from 08.00 until 15.55 local time and at any time during launching operations.
A User can fetch a code number and instructions how to dial international calls from any telephone/fax within Esrange. Charges for calls are made on a cost reimbursement basis. Outside normal working hours and during weekends and holidays, an external telephone line is connected to the guardhouse, +46 980 723 33, where guards who speak English are on duty round the clock. The guards can help to place calls to extensions within Esrange.
Internet
A User who brings his own PC to Esrange will easily get access to Esrange Internet services, provided that:
the User's PC is configured for DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol).
the User's PC has an Ethernet card with a Twisted Pair connector (RJ45) for connection to the Esrange network.
ISDN
Integrated Service Digital Network, ISDN, a high speed fully digital telephone service is installed at Esrange. ISDN is normally used for telescience, high speed digital data, video transmission and voice communication. Totally 12 Dual lines,
each 64+64 kbps, are avaiable and to be rented by user. ISDN outlets are installed in the main building and in the Rocket launch area. Each outlet is a 8-pin standard RJ-45 connector. The user is recommended to bring neccessary interfacing equipment.
